Important Information

Distance to Inhambane International Airport: 22km (about a 25 minute drive).

Distance to Inhambane Hospital: 5km. Inhambane hospital is basic but can be of assistance in most cases. The hospital is situated on the road out of Inhambane (heading back towards the EN1), along the harbour front on the left hand side of the road. 

The local currency is the Mozambique “Metical”. SA Rands and US Dollars are also accepted at most places but usually at low exchange rates. Traveller’s cheques are unfortunately not accepted locally. There are three banks in the town of Inhambane, these all have ATM machines and accept a vast range of international cards including VISA and MasterCard.
